Lou Reed being remembered with NYC event

Listen to Lou Reed on iHeartRadio

Lou Reed will be remembered with a special event Thursday in New York.

A post on the late rocker's Facebook page is calling the gathering "New York: Lou Reed at Lincoln Center," and says there'll be "no speeches, no live performances, just Lou's voice, guitar music & songs - playing the recordings selected by his family and friends."

The event, which is scheduled for the Paul Milstein Pool & Terrace at Lincoln Center, is open to the public.

Reed died on October 27th New York of liver disease.  He was 71.
